Can you add a feature that would allow us send email based on receivers' local time zones under the "schedule tab" without creating programs?
Any progress on this?
This is really a musty have especially for our national and global clients.
Agreed - Marketo can we please get a status on this? This is a daily headache for our team.
As a temporary workaround while they work on this, you can build a segmentation based on states and countries and which time zone they fall into, and then add the send and wait steps in a template.
Segmentations (soon to be expanded to APAC also):
Part of the email flow in the template program:
Instead using multiple campaigns you can define in the Flow using the wait steps & add choice of a single campaign, if you are running a single content at the time.
This is pretty neat!
How is it working for you?
So just to clarify, you schedule at the earliest timezone, eg GMT +3 in your case, and then you add the wait steps?
It's working pretty well. I haven't heard any complaints from any of the email marketing folks.
Building it into a template has also made it easy for them to clone and avoid any mistakes or hassles.
Carolanne Maksimowicz - this could be useful for your webinar programs
Ryan Baker Eric Calderon this might be helpful for us. I might try it with our launch next week.
Hey Andy, This is an awesome solution! Do you mind sharing the smart list logic for your GMT segmentation? Do you have a "Timezone" field? Did you use tables from something like Data.com or another website? My team loves this idea and we'd love to get it implemented ASAP. Any help/insight you can give us would be much appreciated!
