Retrofit the WYSIWYG tool to work better for non-HTML users

We've found that the current WYSIWYG tool has a few limitations that present challenges to non-HTML users.
Specifically:
  1. Does not allow easy positioning of images.
  2. The "border" feature does not work.
  3. If you type in edits to to a styled piece of text (headline) it breaks the formatting for that line.
These issues were confirmed by Marketo's training and support team as problems with the WYSIWYG tool. There are workarounds but not all users are code savvy.

I agree that the HTML rendered by the editor when Rich Text blocks are opened for editing could use a number of improvements. Something I believe could be done about this would be to upgrade the version of TinyMCE used by our editor to generate markup when the user makes changes. My understanding is that this has not been done for quite some time.
