Currently URLs for articles in the community are of this format:
https://community.marketo.com/marketoideadetail?id=08750000000JiR8AAKThis gives no human readable information whatsoever. I keep lists of links that I need for reference, and I have to make my own notes about what they point to. The ideal would be something like this:
http://community.marketo.com/make-this-community-publically-readable
I understand that this causes additional chanllenges with needing to create a slug that can be used to lookup the article. I also understand that this system is likely purchased software and not built internally within Marketo, making changes to how it works unlikely.
What I would suggest is instead adopt a URL format like this:
https://community.marketo.com/08750000000JiR8AAK/make-this-community-publically-readable
This way you keep the id information you need in the URL, but the title is there as a well.
You could even translate that link to the original format using mod_rewrite without making changes to the backend system. That would only solve one direction of things, though as the redirect after new submissions are made/when search results link to articles would also have to be updated to include the title information in the link.
