Make difference between a comment and an answer

Make difference between a comment and an answer

Hi,

Sometimes when I read a discussion, I like to add that I agree, I have same issue, in a word I'm making a comment.

However I feel it's unfair for the person that has asked the reason that my comments are considered as an answer and therefore the question is not listed with the "unanswered questions". Can we somehow make the difference between a comment / extra info and a real answer ?

Agree with Cécile.

If we could identify unsolved questions, that would be nice as well, but the list would be very long as many are never marked as "Solved" even though they are.

I see this happen a lot with my own questions. Someone agrees with the problem and then it's marked as not-new / discussed. But there's been no resolution, it doesn't come on the unanswered questions of the day email, etc. This is a good suggestion Cécile

Hi Cecile, Adam and Elliott,

Your points are valid and important. One way I'd love to help gain more visibility to those that are solved compared to those that still need attention, is to have customers consistently mark "best answer" and "solved". This would make those not solved stand out more.

Thanks for you input on this Champs!

So although marketing responses as "Best Answer" is rewarded in your gamification, it doesn't seem to be working with a large number of users.  I'd love to see some stats on what percent of questions with responses have Likes and how many are marked as Solved.

Anyone can Like an answer and I always take the opportunity to Like a good answer whenever I see one even if I haven't contributed to a question.  You might want to consider allowing the same thing to be done for "Best Answer" by a limited set of Community members such as Champions and Marketo employees [ tech support marks cases solved all the time ;0) ].  These would then form the basis for a robust troubleshooting / FAQ reference.
