Expand Folder Tree when clicking a Marketo Link

Often times I will be emailing back and forth with a client and include specific links to Marketo Programs, Campaigns, Emails, Smart Lists etc etc.....

One downfall is that when you click on a link, the Marketing Activities navigation tree on the left is collapsed all the way, so I have no idea where the asset is located.  Even when "Collapse Folders" is disabled, the navigation tree on the left does not expand nor highlight the asset which you clicked to.

Ideally, in the navigation tree would highlight the asset you clicked to, collapse all other folders except the folders containing the highlighted asset.  See screenshot:

Agreed, this is exactly how it should work.

Hey guys,

What cases are you seeing this for? I am trying to reproduce myself and it seems to be working as expected.

Try going to an email. Click it in the tree so you see "Email Actions" "Edit Draft" and "Preview Email" as your menu options.  Now copy the link from the address bar.  Something like https://app-sjp.marketo.com/#EM1694A1LA1.    Now go to a new window and paste that in.  Or navigate somewhere else in Marketo and then paste it.    Same situation with campaigns, flows etc etc.

I'm happy to do a screen sharing session with you if you'd like to see it that way.

It doesn't do it all the time for me. In fact, it seems to usually work. Any chance you could email me your company name and the specific asset that we don't navigate to automatically in the tree? I'm at erik@marketo.com, and we can screenshare too if needed.

Erik - I'm still experiencing this issue when clicking a Marketo link from an Email.

Could it be because the Collapse Folders treasure chest option is enabled?
