I recently discovered that it is impossible to change the instance default language in the admin->location:
This language is set when the instance is opened and someone at Marketo decides what it should be (probably based on the country you are in) and then it's locked forever.
Too bad if you later want to upgrade a local instance to be used on a large scale.
This is a real issue as quite a few thing are hard coded based on this language. Additonnally the locale is also dependent on the default language. For instance, all new users start with a user interface in the default language.
So please Marketo, make it possible to change the default language.
