Automated cookie acceptance widget to comply with DNT/EU Cookie laws

Would be great that marketo offers an automated mechanism that pops up on a web site a small window woth a message such as (from silverpop)

"To enable certain features and improve your experience with us, this site requires cookies to be stored on your computer. Please check the box and click Continue to provide your authorization and permanently remove this message. To find out more about the cookies we use, please see our privacy notice."

and a check box.

The message above would need to be translatable or have multiple versions. A flag in the munchkin code would indicate which version of the message to prompt so that companies with multiple web site would be able to adapt to local regulations and languages.

If the person accepts cookies, we do not prompt it next time. If she does not, no cookie is stored, but the message is prompted again at next visit.

The other option could be that you create that behavior on your own. If you have a Javascript developer in-house you should be able to create code to do that and include it on your templates. That would allow you to use it not only in Marketo, but also on any other "cookie dependent" page you own.

As I reset my Marketo cookies to perform tests i counted 94 cookies (!!) in a dozen of different categories in my browser. This will soon be a big legal problem that a solution like Marketo have to anticipate.

Although I created this idea under the previous community, My vision of this need has some how changed.

Cookie acceptance has to be managed at a higher level, has most of the time many other cookies have to be managed as well.

So what we need here is a simple mechanism to "tell" Marketo not to cookie a given lead. For instance, it should be possible for the munchkin code to read a JS parameter set by another script, this being clearly documented so that web site developers could use it.
