adding or appending to data value

It would be nice to have an option to add to or append to data value.  In some cases I do not want to change or replace a data value of a field that has a picklist or categories to choose from.  It would be nice to have the ability to append or add to the data value.

I believe there is a discussion somewhere else in the Community about this.

One thing that I use that seems to work well, especially for multiple selection fields is to use a lead token. I have an email going out about a specific topic, if a lead opens and clicks that lead gets a value added to it's already existing values {{lead.FieldName}}; New Value.

Thanks Jackie. I might try using a token.  I didn't even think to use it for my particular use case.
