Can't create Idea because can't get past the "In a Place" field

Can anyone tell me how to get around this? I want to create an Idea, but the "In a Place" field is blocking me. It says it is required, but it won't let me select anything or write anything in.

Have you tried typing in "Idea"?  It does a lookup and populates the list below usually!

Thank you, that did it. Why do you have to know to type in "Idea" just to pick the one category named "Ideas" so that you can post an Idea?

There is actually another way to get it, just can't remember w/o doing it myself, and am busy at the moment, sorry.

It's under one of the other drop downs, if you click to open the 'sub-areas'
