Cloning campaign issue - System Integration

When cloning a campaign, has anyone experienced the issue of contacts being incorrectly added to the engagement from the issue that was cloned? This appears to have occurred in a recent campaign of ours that uses a Salesforce integration to create engagement lists.

Re: Cloning campaign issue - System Integration

Hi @ColleenODay

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  • Check your salesforce campaign:
    • Make sure you're integrating the right campaign
    • Check if the salesforce campaign was updated after the previous campaign was launched
  • Review Program Smart list: (If using email program) check the smart list in your cloned program for the filters
  • Check Smart Campaigns: Ensure that all Smart Campaigns in the cloned program are correctly referencing
  • Review Lists and Segments: Make sure that any lists or segments used in the cloned program are correctly set up
  • Permissions and Roles: Double-check that the user cloning the program has the necessary permissions. Sometimes, insufficient privileges can cause issues during the cloning process.
  • Pre-flight Checklist: Develop a checklist to go through before activating the cloned program. This can help catch any errors or misconfigurations. Here is one Checklist for Cloned Programs - Marketing Nation (marketo.com)

If you’ve gone through all checking steps and are still experiencing issues, please share the specific part of the process where you’re encountering difficulties.
