Remove From Flow then Add Back to Flow

We are sending a series of emails to a list of contacts, however based on the contacts lead status they will be removed and/or added from the flow and added in the new flow.

If a lead is added to a flow and removed from a flow based on the defined criteria using the "Remove from flow" flow step, what happens if the lead is added back to the same flow?

Each flow has the following flow sequence:
  1. Send Email
  2. Wait 1 Week
  3. Send Email
  4. Wait 1 Week
  5. Send Email
Would the lead receive the emails in the flow that they have not already received or would they NOT receive any emails because they have techincally already gone through the flow?

If the latter, what would be the best way to achieve something like this?

Re: Remove From Flow then Add Back to Flow

You should use an engagement program and rather than removing them when their status changes, just pause them. The engagement program will not send the same content to the contact twice, while adding/removing from a smart campaign will.

Re: Remove From Flow then Add Back to Flow

Hi Nicole,

If you don't have the engagement engine, and there are a lot of moving parts that could be chaning status's to add or remove from this, one way you could do this is

-Set up a smart campaign that you schedule a reoccurance, every week.
-add the criteria you need (ex member of list, lead status = Known)

and in the flow say

-Send email
Add Choice
Not Delivered - Email 1
>send email Email 1
Not Delivered - Email 2
>send Email 2
Not Delivered - Email 3
>send Email 3

You also could add the filter into your smart list Not Delivered Email 3, so once a lead has received, they wont continue to qualify for the campaign.

Let me know if this makes sense,

Good Luck!
