Two years later and I'm trying to do this exact same thing... I still can't find a way to do it within the platform or RCE.
Jumping on the band wagon. This is huge hole in the reporting function within Marketo. If it is available via API is should be available in the platform.
Hi Eric,
Fully agreed that being able to create reports using activity log data would be a significant plus, although it might be causing some performance issues.

Hi Andrew,
We pull activity data from Marketo to the database and use Tableau to do activity analytics. The simple way to retrieve activity data is to use Data Loader for Marketo.
Here is the link to the article that you can know how to achieve it. Get Marketo Lead Activities via DLM now!
If you still have any questions about Marketo data or Marketo reports, feel free to email me at vivian_wu@trend.org Thanks!

Hey Dan- Any tips for integrating Sitecore with Marketo? Best practices? Do you continue to use Marketo landing pages, or do you embed the form on a Sitecore page?
Today, our integration consists of the following:
We still use Marketo landing pages - primarily where there's a single call-to-action and we need to keep the focus on the CTA. Especially since our website pages can be quite long with a variety of content to consume (for example, Sitecore | Avanade). Usually, they're used for PPC and paid advertising campaigns.
We're still working on getting xDB installed/deployed - which will enable us to do more advanced Marketo integration (e.g., bring in Marketo behavioral data for known leads to provide a highly relevant/personalized customer experience). This will also allow us to start taking advantage of some of the analytics capabilities in Sitecore that aren't available in Marketo. In fact, we're relying less on the analytics/reporting in Marketo and instead using the API to pull all relevant data (leads, programs, activities, etc.) into a central data warehouse where we have a set of custom dashboards and drill-down reporting - way beyond what RCE can provide. We're using SQL Server and Power BI for this.
Hi Dan and Rachel,
Another BI product that seems to be doing a good job is Tableau software.
Anyway, using these external product to produce reports on revenue cycle conversion rates or MT attribution will not be that easy, if will required data processing, while it is out of the box with RCE. But for the rest (flexibility, dashboards, quality of graphics, ...), third party products are far superior to RCE indeed.
