Would love if Marketo could add a wait option that references holiday dates.
The end result would be that the wait steps would never end on a holiday. For example, this weekend is Thanksgiving. While executives are eating turkey, they will also be receving No Lead left Behind alerts. Nurturing emails will also go out to prospects and customers. Ideally, the wait steps would know it's a holiday and wait until the next day.
How?
- Utiilize some kind of Vaction Rules On/Off choice within the wait step. If checked, the wait step would wait an additional day if it ends on a holiday.
- In Admin, have a Holidays section that gives Administrors the ability to add days to a list. A choice to autopopulate known major holidays would be nice.
Current Workaround
- There is a campaign I use to manually pull leads out of alert flows when there are holidays. It's not that clean but works OK.
