Sleeping in -> Football -> Eating turkey dinner -> Grabbing drinks with friends to catch up while they are in town -> Passing out from food coma!!!
Food and fellowship with extended family and then watching the Lions lose.
Waking up early and getting in a workout with my dad and starbucks coffee! Then I watch the thanksgiving day parade with my mom in bed and then when it's over we start to cook! Then we have thanksgiving followed by LOTS of football! Go Texas!!!!
We don't have any traditions - being in the UK. But I'm going to start this year.
Monday - I'll be watching Free Birds this evening with my son.
Tuesday - I'll have Turkey for lunch
Wednesday - I'll write my shopping list for Christmas present shopping
Thursday - Buy my christmas cards
Friday - A large sit down meal with the family
We watch the parade, make a nice hot breakfast and play family games while dinner is cooking! Our three boys love the attention and fun time they get stress free with my husband and myself. The day is relaxing -- and wearing pajamas all day is always an option .
My brother and husband remove the backbone and thoroughly season the turkey under the skin the night before Thanksgiving. It gets a little crazy and up close and personal with the turkey, so we like to watch.
Pro tip: removing the backbone cuts down on the cooking time significantly, and you can lay the turkey on top of way more stuffing that you can normally stuff inside.
Family, food, fun!
Early Thanksgiving lunch with a movie in the evening!
Dinner with family and football.
Watch football and eat. Go around the table to say what we are thankful for.
