Why does an image change color once uploaded to Marketo?

Hi I have an image on my PC and when I upload it to marketo the colors change. The colors change from a tone of green and blue to a flourecent version of it.

Does anybody know why this happens and how to avoid it?

Thanks

Is this on the same monitor and computer?

Where are you viewing the image? In the designer? on a web page?

You may want to check with your designer that your files are set to the correct colors and the file isn't being corrupted. Try uploading the file again with a new file name.

Thanks Josh, I did try uploading it with different names but I still get the flourecent colors. I will speak with my designer about it.

Thanks again for your answer!

Re: Why does an image change color once uploaded to Marketo?

I bet I know. I'll bet you that the original image is CMYK or Lab Color, and that when uploaded to Marketo it's being forced to RGB as web default. If you open the original image in Photoshop and convert it to RGB and upload it again I believe you'll recieve it in the proper color space.

Typically when something is previewed as wildly out of color and much too much satuation/brightness/contrast it comes from CMYK images being viewed in RGB.
