What ecommerce platforms do you use?

For those of you who use ecommerce in your organizations, I'm interested to hear the platforms you use, and how you might be using Marketo in conjunction with them. We're currently running Adobe Business Catalyst which we're not terribly happy with. Considering Magento, but I'm curious to hear what platforms you are using.

I have used osCommerce very successfully in a previous job.
It was fully integrated with CRM, ERP, Wordpress and Drupal.
(all based on PHP and JavaScript, running on MySQL and Apache)

It is powerful, very extensible, widely used and backed by a massive community.

Hi Jeff,

I'd appreciate any info on your research.  We are currently using Volusion and not terribly happy with that.  We've use OSC 10 years ago and it was good then but I've not looked into in since. 

Currently we're looking for a new Ecom platform to integrate with SFDC and MKTO to replace Volusion.

Hi Jeff,

I would definitely like to stay in the loop with your progress if you move forward with Magento. My company has made a decision to invest in that platform and is looking to implement within the next year. We also just became Marketo customers and are thinking about how we can best leverage both platforms to work together.

I'm also happy to offer any insight from our experience, once we get everything sorted out.

Hey Kate,

Absolutely! I know our head of IT is a big Magento fan, so that may end up being what we go with. Quick question for you: of the 3 versions of Magento available, do you happen to know which your company is investing in? (Magento.go, Enterprise, or Community). I know these vary a bit on hosted/non-hosted and extensibility. I imagine the more open source solutions will probably be most flexible in integration with various systems, whether its Marketo, the CRM, or the ERP.

We went with Enterprise, and actually had our first call this morning with the Magento team about integrating with Marketo. It seems like although they are Marketo users themselves, they haven't had a lot of experience actually connecting the two platforms. They were, however, pretty confident about their ability to at least sync up an email opt-in within Magento that would sync to Marketo. Ultimately I'd like to get a little bit tighter integration than that set up, but it's a start.

We're on the same path... Marketo, Magento, SFDC.  Marketo/SFDC are up and running... Magento is being worked on

Curious how the Magento - Marketo integration went?  We are starting it here and have heard there are options as how to connect the two.
