Anywhere I can find presentations to explain Marketo to my marketing (campaigning) team?
Hi Ignacio. We're still in the middle of our implementation, so our company is new to the platform as well. I don't know of any presentations that directly lay it all out clearly, but I found that the best way to communicate and explain marketing automation (in general) to my team was to use real world examples where they have interacted with it without knowing it (as recipients).
To present the basic concepts, I would ask, "Have you ever been to a trade show or conference, and when you got back home you received an email thanking you for visiting [some software vendor's] booth at the show and providing a link to read more about their products?" "Have you ever found an ebook online and filled out a form to download it?" And then I would go on from there introducing the basic flow/logic of the process. Marketers already understand segments, targets, lists, reports, content, etc. The hardest mental shift was getting them to think of our marketing campaigns as "programs" with "smart campaigns" that live within them.
Perhaps one of these days I'll get around to creating a basic introductory presentation... in the meantime, I hope these ideas help!
