Unsubscribed Leads - Any extra actions required?

Hi there,

We've sent out our first email blast through Marketo and have had a percentage of recipients visit the unsubscribe page.

The unsubscriptions have been successful as I can see them in the 'unsubscribed leads' report, but these same leads are also present in the all leads report.

My question is, do I need to do anything further to prevent emails going out to anyone on the unsubcribe list or it is enough that a person is in that list to prevent them getting any further emails?

I just want to make sure we don't upset anyone by accidentally sending them another email when they've requested they don't receive any more.

Hi Nathan,
If you're referring to the Unsubscribed Leads smart list in the System Smart Lists folder in Lead Database, then you are correct. There is nothing else you need to do.

As long as an email is not operational, they will not receive any more.

That's exactly what I was referring to. Thanks for giving me some piece of mind prior to sending off round 2. 🙂
