Turning Off User Notifications

Turning Off User Notifications

Our users are receiving notification emails from Marketo when a lead changes status and also from Salesforce and we are trying to stop the duplicate emails.  However, I can't seem to find where to turn off the email notifications from Marketo.  The emails are not set by a campaign but seem to just be part of Marketo itself.  Am I missing something??

Thanks!

Re: Turning Off User Notifications

Marketo does have system alerts that are sent to users that have an Administrator role, but only a few people should have this role.  Be sure that you haven't given the system administrator role to everyone.

It is also possible that your workflow rule in Salesforce is sending the email alert from the Salesforce administrator and separately from the Marketo Synch user.  If this is the case, the emails would look identical except the name of the sender.

If neither of these is the case, then there has to be a smart campaign in Marketo that is sending the email.  See if you can find the email by reviewing the displayed list of emails when you click the Emails folder in the Design Studio.  If you can, when you click on the name of the email, its overview page will be displayed with a list of smart campaigns that use the email listed at the bottom.
