I’m trying to find a scalable way to report on Marketo programs that are associated with an external partner who sponsors specific marketing campaigns.
My initial thought is to create a new program tag type called Partner under Admin → Tags, and then assign that tag to each relevant program. In our case, each program will only ever have one sponsoring partner, so the single-value limitation isn’t an issue.
Before I go too far down that path, I wanted to sanity check with the community:
Is Program Tags the best/standard way to handle partner-level reporting?
Are there any downstream impacts or limitations I should be aware of (especially for reporting or scalability)?
Has anyone used a better approach for tracking partner-sponsored programs across the instance?
Would love to hear how others are managing this.
