Sending Webinar Email Reminder - Exclude Registered Members

Hi there, 

I'm having trouble understanding the Smart List flow to exclude people from a particular list for an email send.

We are doing a BrightTALK webinar and have already completed the BrightTalk -> Marketo sync. I created a new Email Program for a reminder email blast. I want to send the email to everyone NOT registered for the webinar.

Smart List is set up as follows: 

Member of Smart List (is this filter necessary?) 
Lead: in: All Leads

---

Member of Program 
Member of Program: false
Program: is: Webinar - [Title]
Program Status: is not: Webinar > Registered 

--

I scheduled the send like this but it seems that the members that were already registered through BrightTALK received the email anyways. What is the right way to set this up?

Hi Jessica, if I were setting this up, I would use the following filters...

Member of Program: True
Program is: Webinar - Title
Program Status is not: Webinar > Registered

OR

Member of Program: False 
Program is: Webinar - Title

This way, you should capture anyone who hasn't yet been listed as a member (not sure if sent = member for you), as well as anyone who is a member but not yet Registered.

It is basically saying of everyone in your database, select the people who are or are not in the campaign. Sometimes when you get into double negatives it can get a little bit hairy, in my opinion.
