I have a trial end date field in my opportunity record. I want to send the last email in our drop 24 hours prior to the trial end date on file. We extend it often so it needs to read this date field.
I was trying to do this with a token and a wait step but can't seem to make it work. Anyone have any ideas?
We had varying length trials that would take place, and we also wanted to send out an email just before the end of the trial. To accomplish this, we did the majority of our trial emails in one triggered drip-send campaign, although the final email was set in its own batch campaign. On a daily basis we ran this campaign to anyone whose trial expiration date was within that day. One of the flow steps of this batch campaign was to remove them from the initial triggered campaign, so they would stop receiving the drip emails.
In your case, you should be able to set up a daily batch that will send based on the trial end date, and if you are running other drip nurtures you can stop them from that batched campaign as well.
Thanks. I thought about doing it that way. I was just hoping there was a cleaner way. Guess I should have trusted my Marketo knowledge 🙂
