selecting dropdown as a form field for landing page forms

I don’t see Dropdown as an option on the list of available form  field types, when creating or editing customizing form fields in Field Management. I’m building out a capture form for a landing page, and need to end it with a dropdown menu profiling question. Dropdowns are a very common field type for landing pages; I’m surprised this is not available or readily evident at this point. How do I do this?

The dropdown ("picklist") itself is created on the form level, used on whichever lead field you choose (you're right that you may have to create a new field in field managment, though I've just been manipulating existing ones). In the Form Designer's Form Properties window, change your field type to "select," refresh the browser, then enter your picklist values in the "Value list" field.
