Is there a way to search for multiple records using a formula? e.g. email in ('email1@pc.com', 'email2@pc.com', etc.) If so, where and how?

Peter it sounds like you want to use smart lists. The criteria will be "email address is" and you can enter many values if you click on the button next to the search box.
