Salesforce sync error : soqlBatchQuery failed - INVALID_FIELD

Hello,

Today we tried to sync our Marketo with Salesforce and failed. We tried it once before, but somehow stopped. so it was our second try.

Following is the error message we got.

soqlBatchQuery failed - INVALID_FIELD: ActivityDateTime, CreatedDate, Description, Id, IsAllDayEvent, ^ ERROR at Row:1:Column:53 No such column 'Description' on entity 'Event'. If you are attempting to use a custom field, be sure to append the '__c' after the custom field name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names

We got leads update from SFDC but SFDC didn't get any leads update from Marketo.

We set our Marketo User profile a bit restrictive. We only allowed it to "Read" and "Create" Accounts, Campaigns, Contacts and Opportunities.
We also create some custom fields in Salesforce but it seemed to successfully synced to Marketo, as some new fields were automatically created in Marketo and mapped to our SFDC custom fields.

I'd appreciate it if you could give some advice.

Re: Salesforce sync error : soqlBatchQuery failed - INVALID_FIELD

Has "Description" been renamed, deleted or had the access/visibility revoked from the Marketo integration user?

Can you access that field if you login as that user?

In Salesforce Professional it needs to be on the page layout; in Enterprise it is driven by profiles.

Re: Salesforce sync error : soqlBatchQuery failed - INVALID_FIELD

Hi bgomes,

Thanks for your answer. Yes, we revoked visibility of "Description" and other fields from Marketo User. We thought we could change Field Mapping while the sync-actually, we assume that we would follow steps of "initial" sync again, but it never happened. I created a case to change Field Mapping Setting. I believe we could change the sync rules successfully with Support Team's help.
Thank you
