Is anyone experience strange sync behavior when sync'ing a custom salesforce object to Marketo?
We have a custom salesforce object with 700,000 rows that we are syncing to Marketo and Marketo is reporting, 1.6 million rows. I'm wondering if Marketo has trouble with deletes or something else is going on......
This is an interesting issue. Has there been a large number of deletions recently of the custom objects in your SFDC subscribtion? Custom objects have a batch size of 1000 for each sync step per sync cycle by default, so it's possible there's a pending backlog of changes here.
So, does that equate to 1,000 per day? What is the sync cycle?
We have 600,000 records in this custom object in salesforce that need to sync frequently.
Support has advised us that we need to drop the custom object in Marketo and then go through the process to sync the schema again and then start the sync all over from scratch.
I fear that the sync will never keep up with 600,000 rows.
We also see this with Custom Object where there is a lot of R/W going on. If the numbers will never match then great please tell us 😉 if the over count is down to delta processing then tell us - but perhaps split the logic up as Marketo Rows being higher than Salesforce Rows doesn't make sense?!
