We use several different kinds of custom tasks in our SFDC org. Is it possible to choose which task is used when leveraging the Marketo "Create Task" functionality? How does Marketo decide which of the tasks types to use, it doesn't seem to be the default in our case...
I think it uses "email" by default, is that also what you are seeing?. It's not possible to set the "Type" from within Marketo, but you may be able to set it within SFDC using a SFDC workflow or custom trigger
