purpose of SFDC "Campaign Status" in synced programs

What function if any, does the SFDC "Campaign Status" play in Marketo Programs synced to SFDC Campaigns?

In other words, does an SFDC campaign with status "Planned" function differently than one with "In Progress"  or are those values just information we can use for whatever purpose we like?

Re: purpose of SFDC "Campaign Status" in synced programs

Hey Meagan,

A status of "Planned" is the default for when you sync to SFDC. My thought is that this is a subtle way to remind you to check the campaign in SFDC, but this status has no bearing on Marketo's funtionality. To my knowledge, it is merely another data point for SFDC.
