Precise role permissions

Does anybody know if it is possible to create a user role that only has access to certain lists?  I want to allow an outside partner in but do not want them to have access to all of the lists we have currently created.

There is no ability to define role permission only for specific lists.  You may be able to accomplish this with multiple workspaces and lead partitions as described in the Workspaces deep dive article.

I have voted for folder level permissions/roles as it would make our lives so much easier
