Potential Spam??

Has anyone experienced their Marketo emails, whether Marketing or Sales Insight, marked as a "hack attack" or "Potential Spam"  I am wondering if it has anything to do with spam filters readying the TR (tracking code) attached to the emails?  Does anyone else have this issue?  Any other ideas what it could be?

Re: Potential Spam??

We do occasionally have email bounces whose bounce reasons allude to the email possibly being spam.  The triggers for anti-spam filters are numerous and vary, but I don't think that the tracking code on links is a cause of this.

Re: Potential Spam??

Good afternoon, Erin!

Common causes for this to occur include the following:

Spam filters triggering off of:

-> Email Content (javascript, key words, formatting, etc.)
-> Amount of emails being sent to or sent from a particular address (typically trips free email services like gmail and yahoo)
-> Users flagging the email as spam or malicious
-> Overly strict Spam filters (locked down corporate networks)

Typically you don't see the tracking code causing spam issues but that's not to say it couldn't happen.

Is there something you're seeing in particular that's raising a concern?

Re: Potential Spam??

Today another Marketo employee, Cathal, in his reply to the discussion Marketo links classed as a phishing site indicated "for brand consistency and improved delivery rates we recommend that you brand your tracking links. Here is how:
