None of my Email program members are "engaged"

We launched a test wave using the new email program - only to 5 of us.  We have 5 opens, 4 clicks, and the engagement score is 94.  When I click on the Members tab, everyone has "Member" status.  Why wouldn't those that clicked, show up as "Engaged" - since that's the final step they can take in the progression status?

Also, if I want to view who "opened" and "clicked", I assume I need to add these progression statuses to the Channel and then create custom smart campaigns to move them into each status so they show up on the Members tab?  Although, at the moment, I can't even create a smart campaign in an email program.  The dialogue box I'm presented with only allows me to create it within a "campaign folder" and not within the program itself (and the "campaign folder" drop-down includes every folder within our 23 workspaces even though I'm in the US workspace)!

Cheryl, the inability to right-click on the email program and select "new smart campaign" (like you can for other programs).

What piece are asking is intentional?  Are you asking about the abiltiy to export the data from the dashboard?  If so, it's coming in February.

Cheryl, is that intentional?  Why not treat it like any other program?  So much easier to just right-click on program and select "new smart campaign".  I'm really starting to question why one would use this new email program (aside from A/B testing) since you're still required to manually setup the smart campaigns to measure activity.  Sure, there's finally a new visual dashboard, but there's no way to see the data behind it.

Make sure you select "local asset" and then smart campaign from that window.

@ Michelle- we decided to not make any assumptions with what someone considers to be engaged so we didn't do anythign automatic.  For example, it might be a specific link in an email or maybe even once they fill out a form.

@Cheryl. That makes a lot of sense.  I thought that with the out of the box statuses for the Email program, member and engaged (engaged is success), that you wouldn't have to set up any more status campaigns.  I actually assumed that a click is equal to engaged.  It's just that when I looked at my email program summary view, it shows that engaged is 0.  Also my list was 2305 but the membership only shows 591.  Does that mean only those who were delivered the email becomes a part of the program?

Unfortunately, I can't create a smart campaign (see 2nd paragraph).  Support was able to replicate and is looking into now.

HI Dan,

We are not automatically changing the status in the program to anything more than Member.  So you will need to use smart campaigns to define this if you want to track it.

Thanks,
Cheryl
