Marketo Sandbox - Sales Insight doesn't show Marketo activities

Hi,

We have a Marketo Sandbox, which is connected to our Salesforce Sandbox. When I view a lead on SF and go to the Sales Insight section, there is no lists of activities while Marketo shows several "interesting moments". Is there special setup needed for Sandbox in order to start seeing Marketo activities in Sales Insight?

Special setup should not be needed to start seeing the interesting moments. Can you confirm other Sales Insight functionality is working? For example, change the lead's score - does that appear in SFDC? Sending them an email?

Have you confirmed the lead is not a duplicate?

Thanks for the reply, Delinda. Sales Insight does seem to be working, it simply doesn't display any activities, e.g. "No interesting moments". The score does come over to SFDC when updated in Marketo, although I had to manually "Sync to Salesforce" for that lead. The lead is a test lead with my e-mail address, and there are several leads with my e-mail address, can that cause a problem? Does a lead have to be unique in order to have interesting moments appear on its Sales Insight?

No unique per say but, because you have duplicate email addresses, Marketo is trying to find the record that is most recent to add the interesting moment to. 

Do you have all the MSI areas visible in your SFDC sandbox? 
Do you have many Interesting moments set up in your Marketo sandbox to fire off?

Yes, the MSI areas are visible in SFDC, I have looked at all of the contacts / leads with the same e-mail. I have a couple of moments created via a manual campaign in Marketo, just a text message. I cannot see the moments on any of the contacts / leads.

Make sure your syncing all leads over to SFDC (may be there are not all getting across).

I think also MSI will only sync one event type per day.

Double check you Smart campaigns that are triggering interesting momnets and see if your email address are in the Results section of that smart campaign, see if you have any errors.

Also check your record in marketo and look at the activity history (make sure you click on the correct record, try viewing in SFDC and click on the 'View in Marketo' link).

If all else fails, try another email address (create a new record in Marketo) and fill out a form and send yourself an email to click on, and see if your 'Fills out Form' and Clicked Link in Email' Smart Campaigns trigger.
