Marketo Leads Entering Salesforce as Web 2 Lead

Hi,

Very new to Marketo (might be a silly question) and wondered if anybody had the same problem.

When leads are passed onto Salesforce from Marketo, they are triggering an email in Salesforce which is only set up for Web 2 Lead Contacts.

Has anyone had the same problem? I don't want the email to trigger and was wondering if anybody had the same issue.

Hi Marlon,

3 possibilities in SFDC :

Lead assignment rules (LAR), that will fire and alert the new lead owner (See Setup -> Lead -> Lead Assignment rule)
Lead settings, where a setting enable to assign any new lead by default and can also fire a notification, if no LAR has assigned the lead (Setup -> Lead -> lead setting)
A workflow that does the same as well (setup -> workflow)
