Marketo Community seems to create new account when I change my email

It seems when ever I change my email address in Marketo and open up the community pages, it creates a new profile in the Community instead of just updating my email address. So, I have several profiles in the community instead of one. This is very annoying especially since Marketo seems to erase my profiles and activities without notice.

Has anybody else tried this?

Yes - you have to pick one email to be your primary one.

Then if you ever need to change it, you can ask Marketo to move the profile (with all of the points, etc) to the new email address.

Thanks Grant and Liz. This warning should be written somewhere. I use my company email at work and switch to my gmail when working outside.

I lose edit privilege when a new profile is created and also lose listing of all my activities. I'll send an email. Thanks.

Hitoshi,

We are working on getting your profiles taken care of, so you can have all of your rewards in one place. I will keep you posted on my progress, and let me know if you have questions in the meantime.

Best,
Liz
