I have just introduced Marketo to the business and I would be keen to understand how other people ensure they have robust lead tracking in Marketo and Salesforce.
I have lead source set up and I have just tested syncing a program and campaign between the two interfaces so that it pre-populates a lead witht he campaign information, but for leads which arent going through from Marketo to Salesforce eg Phone calls what process do I need to ask Sales to follow to ensure we track these leads against specific campaigns rather than just Lead source which is very high level?
Any examples of how you are doing this would be great, bearing inmind I am new to Marketo!
