Hello,

Can someone explain the Marketo LaunchPoint service? Also, how can I add a Facebook, LinkedIn or any other social media button to an email in a smart campaign?

Hi Elana,

Unfortunately, Launchpoint services will not enable you to add a social button to an email.

- The Launchpoint area in Marketo is used when integrating with a custom service. It could be a partner API or your own. For example, it is used when connecting to a webinar provide like GoToWebinar or WebEx. Note that Marketo LaunchPoint is the Marketo partner site.

- You cannot add a share button to an email, only landing pages. (Things like share buttons and forms would be blocked my email clients since they contain Javascript). You could have a button in your email that links to a landing page or page on your site with a share button.

Launchpoint is a service that Marketo provides to its clients and Partners to help highlight all of the integrations and other available services that go along with Marketo.

You can search Launchpoint for particular types of intergated products so that you can create a full marketing solution end to end, as Marketo does not so every single thing a Markter might need.
