Is there a central document/resource that clearly states where Tokens can be used?

I know that Tokens cannot be used within Smart Lists of Smart Campaigns.  But it would be useful to know where Tokens can be used in Flow steps of Smart Campaigns.  I've reached out to some folks at Marketo and so far no one can provide an answer to this.
