Is it possible to select the target group as all buying customers?

Is it possible to select the target group as all buying customers? (customers that have bought something in e.g. 2017 and 2018).

Everything is possible as long as you have the information in Marketo database. Si the questions are:

How do I know from my Marketo database who is a buying customer ?
How do I know from my Marketo database when someone bought ?
Do I know of every purchase? only the last one? Only the first one?
