Is it possible to rename an image file after it has been uploaded ?

Images are the only assets that cannot be renamed at this time.

I also think that being able to rename image files would be extremely helpful.

If "name" and "url" were separated I don't think this would be an issue. It appears to me that because the image name is hard coded as the ultimate url, that changing the name would then change the url... there should be an option to pick your url instead of being forced to use what the image name is - a descriptive name is good, but a long url is bad...
