Is it possible to remap fields after the Salesforce Sync has started?

We have fields that were created as a custom field in Marketo which I have now hidden.  I would like to clear the field sync with Salesforce and reuse that field for something else.  Is this possible?  In the future, if we make changes in Salesforce, is it possible to add a new field mapping to existing fields in Marketo after clearing the original mapping first?

No, you cannot edit your field mappings once the first mapping has been set up.

However, the Support team can do this for you. Open a Support ticket and tell them which fields you'd like to be modified / remapped.

Thanks, Bruce! I really wish that there was a way I could control these fields a bit more as an administrator.  Especially since we were asked to turn on the sync before we really started our time with our consultant for implementation.  I think I would have set some things up very differently in order to maximize the custom field limitation in Marketo.  🙂
