Is it possible to have no subdomain in our links?

I'm fairly certain that the answer to this is no, but I wanted to double check with the community:

Is it possible to build shorter URL's in Marketo - i.e., structurally remove the subdomain and .htm?

Rather than have:
http://subdomain.url.com/offername.htm
Build:
http://url.com/offername

So that URL's in Marketo would appear similar to our own site URL's.

Understood that the subdomain can be shortened to be as small as go.url.com or something similar, but were wondering if we could take this futher to have URL's be as concise as humanly possible.

You have to have a sub-domain for the link to be tracked.  Marketo will be coming out with a shorter tracking URL later this year, but it won't be as short as a bit.ly URL.

Yeah, unfortunately we need the subdomain so the server can tell what traffic gets forwarded  to Marketo's servers vs. your website's.

You could avoid the subdomain if you host all of your forms on your primary server.  This means you cannot use the landing page designer in Marketo, but you should be able to do everything else.
