Import List-"full name" auto-generated?

When importing a list to Marketo, will the "full name" be auto-generated based on first and last name column/ fields? Or do I need to create this column in the spreadsheet before importing? thanks!

Hi Lauren,

You will need a seperate column for the first and last name in order to populate the information in the correct fields. You can use the Text to Column feature in Excel (under the Data tab) to do this and use Space as the delimiter. You will want to spot-check the results after.

I have the separate columns for first and last name in the sheet but I don't have a column for "Full Name". Will Marketo automatically generate the full name with out it being on the spread sheet?

You do not need a column for Full Name for that field to populate. The Full Name field in Marketo is a system generated field that pulls the data from the First Name and Last Name fields.
