Hey guys Im trying to import a list of existing leads I have in Marketo (doing some updates). I want to update these leads on the Lead ID, but thats not possible? Is it just me or is it really not possible? Thanks in advance
Yes you are right, you can't import leads with Marketo Lead ID, you have to use the email address while uploading the list. If the lead with same email adddress exists then marketo will update that lead otherwise marketo will create a new lead.
Marketo de-dupes based on the email address field. If your fields are set to be updated on import and your email address is included, the fields should update appropriately. If you use Salesforce, your other option would be to import the leads to SFDC with the SFDC ID.
