I need to clean up my database, any sugestions of how to do so? Can I export my leads then import them?

I need to narrow down my leads by 1/2 Are there any suggestions of how to do so and easily?  Ideally I would like to export my list, omit the leads I do not want, then import the list.

Any suggestions?

Hi Lyndsey, 
Is your Marketo instance synched with any other database? A CRM perhaps?
That will really alter your strategy here.

Yes, we are synced with SF.com.

I have over 60k known leads and need to narrow down to 30k. At a first glance, I can narrow it down by 29k. Any suggestions?

Since the way MArketo chooses who to bring into the system is by a user in SFDC,  would advise that you edit the user's permission to be allowed to look at less leads.
It does give you less flexibility as to who you can exclude. Otherwise, deleting the leads may lead to them being recreated by SFDC in a synch.

Lyndsey would you explain further what you want to do with the leads?  Are you looking to delete 30k leads from your database?  Do you want to just narrow the list for one campaign?
