How to use Marketo's Deliverability Tools

Hello!

With our company's latest Marketo renewal, we've added the "Deliverability Tools" functionality to our account. Could someone please share best practices and instructions on using this? The only tutorial I've seen is this one, and it doesn't really show how to set it up to even get to that point.

FYI - when I click Deliverability Tools, it directs me to this page and here's the screenshot of what I am seeing. It looks like we still need to set up the first profile, which I have no idea yet how to do.

Any (all) information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: How to use Marketo's Deliverability Tools

Great question!! It used to be a plugin powered by Validity, and I believe they recently switched to MessageBird. I haven't had the chance to familiarize myself with it yet, but it looks like the first step is to set up your sending domains.

I'm subscribing to this thread to stay up to date on responses, and if I learn anything new, I'll post. 😁

Re: How to use Marketo's Deliverability Tools

Hi!

Yes, great question - now that you've signed up for Message Bird / eDatasource you'll want to add the profile name and the associated domains.

For example, if you prefer to track all the sending domains for your company you can use the company name as the profile name and under domain management (select this) you'll want to add the sending domains you use.

Unfortunately, there's not much in the way of documentation to get it fully set up like with Everest (Validity) that I've found, but from what I have read support at eDatasource can help you get set up and utilize an API connection where necessary to help with reporting, etc. as they are a separate entity from Marketo / Adobe, despite being able to access the tool from your dashboard.

I hope this helps you get started!
