How to stop Marketo eBlast that got scheduled accidentally?

Workflow: The eblast will send email to the receipeints and create lead within the defined campaign in SFDC.

Here are few steps  I tried in order to hold this:

1.  Delete campaign in the salesforce
2. Created another Queue and set the new assignment rules at the top to move all the leads related to that campaign to the "fallout Queue" in the Salesforce and had new que email address assigned to that queue instead the "Marketing" email address.

Did it work?
NO!

Next I Tried:
From the Workflow of that program, the "invitation" is a Smart Campaign, I deleted  that and within few minutes the loads of email stopped to my email address ( default Marketing address).

Not sure if that is a right thing, but I found it worked!

Can this be confirmed as a valid approach?

Hi Milind,

In future if such an issue should happen again rather than deleting the entire smart campaign I recommend deleting the flow step from the campaign.

This way you will still have access to the campaign results tab in order to see what leads made it through the camapign before you had the chance to stop it and you could use this to identify leads that may need corrective action.
