How do I add a Marketo Sales Insight user seat in Salesforce?

I set up my company's Salesforce to be configured with Marketo Sales Insight. We are currently up and running for two teams with a total of 9 seats. We have 21 more available for use. 

I am now trying to give new teams access to Marketo Sales Insight in their personal Salesforce accounts and can't find any documentation on how to do so. The only docs I can find tell me how to designate users when first installing Sales Insight, which I don't want to redo. Has anyone else been able to figure this out?

Hi Will,

There is no easy way to manage MSI seats in SFDC. Vote here:

In the meantime, license is controlled  by who can access a layout that contains MSI plugin. So you will need to create separate page layouts for leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities with the MSI visualforce component, then you will have to create specific user profiles that can access these page layouts. Finally, you will have to assign these profiles to the users to whom you want to grant MSI access.

This will only work on SFDC Enterprise edition or higher, or the Pro edition with the advanced profile option. If you use a Pro edition and do not have the advanced profile option, all your users will get MSI.

Thanks Grégoire!

I'm attempting to avoid uprooting our existing profile assignments and instead granting individual users access through a Salesforce Permission Set. The Sales Insight container is already on the page for the Profile type containing the individuals who will need access, but it currently has a message telling them they don't have authorization for the data to populate. So far Marketo is telling me that the people I have assigned in my Permission Set are using our allotted seats, but the we're still getting the "you don't authorization" message.

That will work and make your life much simpler, but is to terribly user friendly
