Handling New Leads

Handling New Leads

We integrate with Salesforce but only for people who are in trial with us or subscribing. Leads we generate from content download who haven't converted to trial aren't housed there. So I'm looking to safely migrate them to Marketo for followup to guide into trial, but I have some concerns.

•  Cross-referencing the email addresses to those already in SF to block potential duplicates
•  Using new or existing fields to designate the lead source
•  Continually racking if they convert to trial (thus, get added to SF) so they're removed from more followup communication

Any tips/guidance on setting this up would be a huge help.

Thanks!

Re: Handling New Leads

I'm not sure if this would help, but we have a similar situation with Marketo leads that we don't automatically sync to SFDC. These are leads that need a person to look at them and then manually convert them or remove them. We have a specific queue set up in Salesforce.

Your filter steps can be what you listed above, (ex Lead Source is XYZ)

The Marketo Flow step we use is "Sync to Lead to SFDC >  Assign to Queue." You may need a SFDC administrator to set that queue up. Hope that hleps.
