Good keyword difficulty tool?

Hi everyone,

I'm getting started on the SEO strategy and I'd like to have recommendations for a good keyword difficulty tool. I've already heard of Alexa or SEMRush, but are they worth the price? Also, is there some less costly alternative to these tools? What do you use and recommend?
