Engage Module Timing

I have questions about the timing for the Engage module. Any help appreciated! When we launch a nurturing campaign with 2 week cycles, when does the first email go out? Right away or 2+ weeks out? How far before our first email day do we need to set up the campaign to make sure it's ready to run? We set ours up last night for launch today and it didn't run. Is that because it won't run until at least 2 weeks later or because we needed to set it up further in advance?

Re: Engage Module Timing

I would think that this depends on what you set the cadence to. Let's say you launch right now (7:45 p.m. on Thursday) and set the cadence to every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., your emails would go out next week.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't run in the morning if you turned it on the night before. What is the cadence set to? Meaning, did you set it to go out every other Tuesday? Or a certain day of the month?

It's up to you, but I'd have the emails in there a few days early if possible to allow for testing, edits, revisions, etc.

Re: Engage Module Timing

Thanks Emily,

We set it up on a Tuesday night to run on Wednesday morning (on an every other week cadence). For some reason it didn't start so we re-set it for Thursdays and it did run.

We noticed a bug that showed that content had been exhausted for some of our members (impossible because it was new content and we had several). I'm thinking that there are still some kinks to be worked out but I like the new approach.

I appreciate your response!
